A good friend visited the farm this week to get ides for an upcoming project. She was my high school ag teacher & FFA adviser, and has a big project coming up at the school. She brought her drone and camera with her, and she was awesome enough to take some great photos of the farm while she was there. I thought I'd share this one, because it was so cool. This is just the main crop fields and the high tunnel.

The second photo includes the corn in the creek bottom. Tis isn't the entire property, just what we call the "Misfit Corner." My greenhouse, chicken coop, packing shed, and barn are all on the other side of the farm. Our house being built right now is smack-dab in the middle.

Anywho, I've been begging and pleading with my tomato plants to turn red, but alas, the majority are still green. I've also finally given up on trying to source strawberries for you guys from another producer. It seems everyone in the tri-county area lost their plants in the late freeze too. I think I maybe had 20% of my plants survive, but they haven't produced a single berry. Maybe next season.

We do have a ton of the summer crops coming on. I noticed the green beans are starting to produce, and I spotted several tiny watermelons growing in the vines!

I believe that's all for this week. Have a great week and don't forget to wash your produce!!
